What are the good attributes for skilled migration?

Attributes, which can help towards your skilled migration, visa application:

Basic requirements
1. Applicants are less than 45 years old
2. Applicants have post-secondary qualifications, which are relevant in the field you work in, and the qualifications are recognized in Australia
3. Applicants nominated occupation is on the Australian Skilled Occupations List (SOL)

  • If your nominated occupation is 60 points, you must have been in paid employment in occupations on the SOL for at least 12 of the 24 months immediately before applying
  • If your nominated occupation is 40 or 50 points, you must have been in paid employment in occupations on the SOL for at least 12 of the 24 months immediately before applying

4. Applicants have at least Competent English, if the applicant is not a trade professional

Additional attributes that can help an application
5. If applicant is married, applicant’s partner also has attributes (1) to (4)
6. Applicant’s occupation is on the Australian Migration On Demand List (MODL)
7. Applicant’s degree was conducted in one of Australia's designated languages
8. Applicant’s Post secondary qualifications were obtained in Australia after 2 or more years of full-time study in Australia
9. Applicant’s Australian post secondary studies were done at an education institution located in a regional area of Australia
10. Applicant or Applicant’s partners have a close relative in Australia willing to sponsor your application
11. The close Australian relative lives in a designated area of Australia
12. Applicants are able to get Assurance of Support (AOS) from an Australian permanent resident/citizen
13. Applicant have received nomination from an Australian government body
14. Applicant has an Australian employer who is willing to sponsor and employ applicant.
15. Applicant have worked in a skilled occupation in Australia for at least 6 months in the last 4 years

Applicants do not necessarily have to have all the above attributes. As a minimum. Applicant should meet the basic requirements (1) to (4) before proceeding further with skilled migration.
