New Zealand – A Dream Migration Destination!

New Zealand – A Dream Migration Destination!

Amid all the hustle and bustle of people vying to migrate to the leading countries – namely the USA, Canada and Australia – many countries are shielded from the limelight of international migration. These lesser-known countries are – at times – better for migration compared to the usual destinations, and are worth looking into. One such country you should consider is the true hidden gem of the Asia-Pacific – New Zealand.

Whether you are interested in skilled or business migration, you can hardly go wrong with choosing New Zealand as your migration destination! The country offers several visa types and options for you to choose from, so you can almost always find a visa that is best suited to your case.

For Skilled Migration, you can choose from one of four visa categories: Working Holiday, Essential Skills, Work to Residence and Skilled Migrant visas. Each type has its benefits and conditions, which will help you determine which one to apply for.

The Working Holiday visa is a temporary stay visa and lets you spend a holiday in New Zealand with opportunities to find work in the country. Earning money while enjoying a holiday – things hardly get better than this!

The Essential Skills visa, on the other hand, is a skilled migration visa which lets you stay and work in New Zealand for up to 5 years. You can work for a specific employer during your stay in the country, and apply without any age restrictions!

If you are looking for something a bit more permanent than the previous two visas, then the Work to Residence visas might be what you are looking for! These skilled migration visas to New Zealand let you reside and work in the country for up to 30 months, but you do have to be aged 55 years or less to be eligible. Things get better with this visa – you can apply for permanent residency in New Zealand after living and working in the country for two years!

Finally, the Skilled Migrant visa is the premium visa for skilled individuals looking to migrate to New Zealand. It is a permanent residence visa and lets you live and work in the country indefinitely. Again, you must be aged 55 or less to be able to apply for this visa, but can include your family members in your visa application to join you in the country!

If Business Migration is what you are looking for, you can choose from two business visa types: Investor and Entrepreneur visas.

The Investor visas are for business people looking to invest their assets in businesses in New Zealand. You can apply for the Investor Visa (Investor 2 category) if you can invest NZD 3 million over four years. If you can invest NZD 10 million or more, then the Investor Plus Visa (Investor 1 category) is the one for you!

The Entrepreneur visas, on the other hand, is perfect for you if you wish to take your business experience to New Zealand and be self-employed in your own business. You can apply for the Entrepreneur Work visa, which will let you move to New Zealand and buy or establish a business in the country. Afterwards, you can apply for permanent residence in the country with the Entrepreneur Residence Category!
