Sydney hosts the Biggest English Lesson in the world!

March 3, 2016 On February 2016, 3,000 international students from more than 60 countries descended on Sydney’s Bondi Beach and set a world record for the biggest English lesson event ever!

The lesson was led by Australia’s leading English language colleges and educational institutes and the event concluded with a live band to celebrate the success of the event. This initiative was delivered as a partnership between StudyNSW and English Australia – Australia’s peak body for the English language sector.

StudyNSW was proud to support the event which was a recipient of funding through Partner Projects initiative in 2015/16. The event was designed to attract global attention to NSW as a top tertiary study destination for international students. Senator the Hon. Richard Colbeck, Minister for Tourism and International Education, attended the event.
